Our History
Huffman Engineering is a controls engineering firm located in Lincoln Nebraska, providing engineered systems for industry since 1987. Since its inception, Huffman Engineering has been delivering high quality custom control systems for Industrial and Utility customers and is the oldest UL508 shop in Eastern Nebraska.
From a 600 sq. ft. office on North 48th Street, HEI moved to a 2500 sq. ft. facility on 57th Street in 1988. In 1996 HEI moved to its current location, and its square footage increased 10 times. By late 1998, Huffman Engineering's growth outpaced available space and required additional conference room space, a technical lab, expanded library, and project storage.

HEI's UL Panel Shop is the oldest and largest UL panel shop in Nebraska, providing:
- UL508 (Industrial Control Panels)
- UL764 (Wiring Harness in US/Canada)
- UL698 (Industrial Panels in Hazardous Locations)
