Alarming Updates: Reliability & Resilience in Industrial Automation

GLOBAL PHARMACEUTICAL MODERNIZES FACILITY

After acquiring a new facility, this global animal health facility needed to upgrade and migrate the existing alarm notification systems to their new shop floor network. “Existing WIN-911 systems were also on legacy versions of the software and were not true redundant systems. Consolidation allowed the two systems to become one true redundant system.”

In the process Huffman Engineering (HEI) was able to eliminate the analog phone line call out system, eliminated single points of failure, increased alarm throughput by 4×, and reduce operational risk across the plant. This project came to HEI because of prior work with the client at other locations and a trusted reputation for high-quality work,
responsiveness, communication and integrity.
