Keith Mandachit, IT manager and senior engineer at Huffman Engineering, Inc., received the Control System Integrators Association (CSIA) Rising Star Award at the association’s 2014 Executive Conference in San Diego in April. The Rising Star award program recognizes association members “who have demonstrated attributes of a future leader, innovative approaches and commitment to the industry.” Huffman Engineering has been a CSIA Certified member since 2005.

Huffman Engineering nominated Mandachit because he aided in the development of a state-of-the-art training and testing room at the company’s facility, which supports customer demonstrations, new engineer and student co-op training, and project team testing and checkout capabilities. In addition, he helped expand the Nebraska FIRST LEGO League (FLL), which encourages young people to pursue opportunities in science, technology, and engineering. He has volunteered in various ways during the Nebraska FLL tournaments and is a coach for the HuskerBots, which includes Huffman Engineering-sponsored FLL and FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) teams.
